I've decided that amidst a lot of commissionwork from December and coming in the new year that I'm going to go ahead and participate in a New Year's Gift Exchange.
Apparently even after posting to the contrary, the other one had been backlogged with requests and never even got my join request :/
So

is holding one, and I am going to get in that one :3
I do enjoy art trades when I can find the time and try to do one every now and then when time allows because it's a change of pace from commissionwork and generally means more creative flexibility and sometimes the chance to play with different styles of doing things. I've done these sorts of round robin/secret santa art trades in the past before from time to time, and usually enjoy them ^.^
Anywho! IF YOU'RE DRAWING FOR ME...
I have three original characters right now that are quite close to me that I loooove getting art of. I am such a total nut for collecting art of my original characters <3
Ethan Cuskley -
[link] - My little half-demon sailor. My newest character of the three and thus I have less art of him as my other two established characters, but still plenty for references. Naive, Enthusiastic, and quite impressionable.
He can be drawn either human or in his true half-demon form.
Setting is similar to PoTC - early 18th Century seafaring, magic exists, but most people don't believe in it.
Sabin Duvert -
[link] - The most established character of the three - Sabin is a victorian-era who's... complicated. Possessed by a living nightmare shadow-creature called an Anju, he has gone through a lot of trials to ultimately merge with the monster, becoming whole.
Ambrose Maurlias -
[link] - Uptight musketeer turned werewolf - if anyone's played D&D he went from a no-magic real world setting and got tossed into Ravenloft where he was infected with lycanthropy. For those who don't, essentially Ravenloft is a fantasy horror setting. Then his subsequent struggle to maintain his sanity and return home.
Alternatively, Modern-Version Ambrose:
[link] - character adapted to a modern, high-school setting.
~ I would really, really prefer for if you get picked to draw for me, you draw one of my male characters above. Ethan is probably the least manly of the three, although none of them are exactly burly lumberjacks. But if you absolutely, positively cannot draw a male, you can draw essentially my net persona, Arania:

the closer you get to the meaning the sooner you know your dreaming...The world is filled with kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams.

I put up a contest in my journal, please take a look! u don't have to do it, but i would love it if u did! Vic is like a black haored ambrose(without the beard!). I really would like to see your entry!!
here's an idea for your art.
Have you ever read The Tales of Ulessis (not sure if that is spelled right)? In the story there is a sorceress named Circe and she changes men to animals, depending on their personality type. for example, she was going to change uluissies into a fox. Just for ideas..
I love your transformation art!
little gross though...
Could you look at my art and tell me what you think?
I know it still needs tweaking, but, the more critique I get, the better I'll get! Goldenwolf did a great job on Ambrose, didn't she?
Dans ce qu'i t'inspirais, je pense que t'a oublier de marquer le cul et les teubs.
Je dis ça vis-à-vis de tes "dessins" sur ton site ...
Franchement t'es vraiment une tarée du cul ma grande ...
