My art contest has closed and there were quite a few awesome entries - thanks again to everyone who participated
Since last time I likely updated my journal, I've gotten my master's degree in Anthropology, and have been looking at what to do next. I've looked into a few options - went through a certification program for a career that in retrospect and after learning more about and getting more of a hands-on experience have really been thinking that that's not for me.
Mostly, I've been doing artwork to pay the bills - which has been absolutely awesome that I have been able to manage that, especially with the economy the way it is. But I don't think it's an "endgame" scenario - at least not working purely on a freelance level. But for the most part, I'm happy. So I'm keeping my eyes out for options that might lead me to being able to actually buy a home and settle down in a non-rent-paying scenario that doesn't land me in financial straits. And I've got two adorable pups and a wonderful girlfriend.
So, anywho. I still do take commissions, a breakdown of my pricing is here: [link]
And I do occasionally spend a bit of money on buying commissions from artists I admire of my original characters ( [link] ) who are near and dear to my heart <3.

I think an artist's responsibility is more complex than people realize.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.

No need to, sir. It's all in a day's work for 'Confuse-a-Cat'.
"Attention all Deviants, I am announcing a contest to see who can do quality pictures of any of my characters, the winner or winners of this contest will win an autographed group picture of all my characters. Contest due by Thanksgiving.
Keep the pictures tasteful as they will not only be displayed here, but also on my own website which can house nudes, but not erotic."
Thanks.

May the horse be with you.
I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it, then copy and paste this in your signature.
